The streets need love, so in the spirit of Valentine's Day, let's show some at The 2nd Annual Big Red!
At 22 years old, Jason Peagram was already an active member in his community who cared deeply about others, strongly advocating against bullying and aggression. In January 2011, this young man lost his life to an act of senseless violence.
In honour of Jason's dedication to these causes, The Jason Peagram Fund was formed to support the Chill Zone,a program geared toward anti-violence, anger management and bullying.
The Big Red is an evening filled with heart, created in memory of a compassionate spirit and for all those who have lost their lives to the streets or have taken their own life due to bullying. It is here we celebrate the positive steps taken toward breaking the cycle of violence and bullying.

Pazazz strengthens its ties with IPN Global at the team meeting in Barcelona this week where IPN members from all over world are gathering to learn about the latest trends and techniques in printing.
Pazazz continues to stay connected and strategize with the best printing and graphic communication companies around the world through its international associations. "Our ultimate goal is to service our clients," explains Pazazz Founder Warren Werbitt. "We are always looking at new ways to help our clients improve their business. Our membership with IPN Global allows us to offer our clients more options and manage their branding needs across the globe."
Always striving to improve print processes, Pazazz announced today that it has completed the renovation of its prepress department with the implementation of Fujifilm’s XMF Workflow, ORIS color proofing system and the installation of the ImpoProofer 8300.
“The XMF cross-media Workflow solution enables us to work more accurately and efficiently,” explains Warren Werbitt Pazazz Founder & Fisherman. “It allows more flexibility to change content, media and press type with minimum impact on production.”
XMF is an end to end solution from PDF creation and preflight through imposition to trapping and output maintaining the PDF file format right up to the rendering stage using the Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) interpreter. XMF provides a full JDF-based imposition server with built-in intelligence that enables jobs to be automatically redirected from one output device to another with ease. The 3D viewing facility for soft proofs provides a virtual version of the printed product in which the pages can be turned in the same way as a book or magazine. This feature improves communication with the final production team and minimizes pagination errors. 3D proofing also helps the client approval process, as it allows clients to easily and accurately assess colour, content and finishing of a job before it is printed.
The ORIS color proofing system was a logical addition to the prepress department as it creates automatic color matching and ultimately more accurate on-line or printed color proofs in accordance with G7 certification standards. The system includes the Epson in-line Spectroproofer for closed loop, no human intervention, color calibration and certification.
The final addition to the prepress department was the installation of the ImpoProofer 8300, an automated double sided imposition proofer that produces the highest standards in speed, accuracy quality and reliability.
"Modernizing our prepress department is yet another example of our commitment to offer our clients the highest standards in print processes,” explains Werbitt. “Our upgraded prepress department now offers the latest tools to efficiently manage our clients print projects.”
