Prepress
Our state- of-the-art prepress facility produces exquisitely accurate proofs for our customers to approve and then use our CTP (Computer to Plate) technology to ensure that what gets approved is what gets printed.

Our FlightCheck system is a quality control tool enabling us to verify every detail prior to production. All final touches are implemented and your project is finalised for perfect production.

Our Prepress Department uses advanced, end-to-end colour management systems and digital proofing solutions such as Epson hi-resolution colour proofs and digital colour blueprints, as well as the Fuji Luxel FinalProof system that reflects the most accurate final colour results with the same dot resolution as the final CTP plates.

Offset Printing

• Offset printing up to 56” on our  KBA Rapida 142 56” UV 6-colour press
• Speed of press 15,000 sheets per hour.
• Size of press sheet (40” x 56”). This enables savings in the middle of the sheet. We can print 32-36 & 40 page signatures on 1 press form whereas the maximum on a 40" sheet is 16 pages.
• Overall and spot coatings include; high gloss, satin and mat UV and aqueous
• UV inks are environmentally friendly and lessen the impact on the environment. To learn more click here
• UV inks cure instantly and use less energy
• UV inks produce sharper dot fidelity and better ink holdout with uncoated stocks.
• UV inks have better ink holdout, they don’t soak into the sheet which results in sharper, more vibrant images.
• When printing with UV inks, there is no ink transfer and no smudging. The sheets can be sent directly to bindery without marking or smudging the image on finishing equipment.
• In-line UV printing is ideal for difficult jobs that typically require two passes on the press. The result is perfect registration and less energy used to achieve a spectacular outcome.
• We can print UV on a broad range of paper and synthetic substrates including recyclable and biodegradable plastics, static cling, vinyl, styrene, lenticular, foil, flute and board, (80 lbs to 48 pts). With UV inks we can produce special effects such as strikethrough, soft touch and scents.

Digital (variable) printing

• Digital printing on the Xerox iGen4 or Nuvera 500
• Short run projects on sheets up to 14”x 20”.
